Vapour return mandatory at Mongstad

MONGSTAD OIL TERMINAL (NORWAY) INTRODUCES A MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS WITH REFERENCE TO VAPOUR RETURN FOR VESSELS LOADING CRUDE AND CONDENSATE AS FROM 01.01.2007.
In order to achieve the requirement for air pollution given by the Norwegian Goverment Mongstad oil terminal has decided to introduce vapour return for all vessels loading crude-and/or condensate as from 01.01.2007.
The vessels need to meet the recommendations/standard in IMO MSC/Circ.585 and recommendations regarding vapour manifolds in OCIMF's "Recommendations for Oil Tanker Manifolds and Associated Equipment".
Mongstad oil terminal recommends that vessels meet above recommendations/standard as soon as possible before given date.
