Gas tanker drifting outside Kaarstoe

The British registered gas tanker was drifting outside Stavanger around 2200 hrs Saturday evening.
It was planned to be towed to Kaarstoe, according to JRCC.
The plans were changed Sunday morning due to the weather situation and in coordination with the owner and the agents.
JRCC got the message at 22:17 Saturday evening from the gas tanker "Gitta Kosan" that she had lost engine power.
The ship was drifting south-east about 20 kilometers from land. There was winds towards land and waves between 5 and 7 meters.
The tanker is built in 1990 and has a crew of 14 that was on passage the to the Gas Plant at Kaarsto, Norway.
The tanker is as of 12:00 hrs today, under towage to Fedafjorden to reach safe waters.
